Mini Flashback to Easter....
Then that night after bath we colored Easter Eggs at home with Grandma and Grandpa Friedman (Genni says freed-a-man)
Then in the morning the Easter Bunny hid all the Easter Eggs we colored and Genni had fun finding them. I had a video of it but some how it got erased from the camera :(
So then it was getting ready for church:
Here are a few more pics of our trip to Rochester
and some artwork Genni created over break:

Letters of the Alphabet
Thursday, April 9, 2009
This one is for Grandma...
The actual words to this part are:
In came the doctor, in came the nurse, in came the lady with the alligator purse
(omited) Mumps said th doctor, measles said the nurse, nonsense said the lady with the alligator purse
Penecillin said the doctor, castor oil said the nurse, PIZZA said the lady with the alligator purse.
Of course the whole beginning story line about tiny tim getting a bath and eating all the soap and water and trying to eat the tub also was missed...but you get the idea:).

Alphabet Girl!
This is my first try uploading videos, and it's from the canon rather than an actual video camera, but it's still cute. We went from Genni filling in a few letters to the other day I realized that she must have been singing the whole thing for awhile now but I hadn't realized the jump. I really wish I had started this blog when she was younger, but I may do a few flashback entries just to put down what I remember while I still can and post pics and videos from that part of her life.
In other news, they just posted on Sherry's website that she may get to go home tomorrow!! Miracle child, some people spend a longer time in the hospital from having children! I'm so proud of her!
Went to CCC with the sophomores today, a pretty well-behaved class, I was impressed. It was career day.
Two more days of school and then break!
Genni singing the Alphabet song, mostly on pitch too! Only a music teacher would care about that....
Here's Twinkle Twinkle (I know, same tune, different words) at the end of the video she gets up so that she can see herself on the camera. At least she stays to actually make it now! She used to not even sit still so I could take a picture, she was more interested in the camera itself.
And she's only two and a half! :) I know probably normal for her age, but I'm her mother so I get to think she is amazing no matter what:).

Lots of Stuff....
Last week I played in the Bath show, Aida, so that took up most of my evenings. They did an outstanding job, I really enjoyed playing for it and seeing it performed. Lots of talent in that senior class! At the same time, the East show has been going on and I got to see a performance of that yesterday, super funny and well played. Nice to see such talented young people in these communities. The weather was beautiful yesterday and now we are in for a rainy week - I'm hoping for some good ones next week though when we are on break!
Speaking of talented kids, one of my talented students was in a car accident Saturday. 4 of Bradford students actually, but one of my band kids was seriously injured. http://www.the-leader.com/news/x549594440/4-teens-injured-in-Riverside-crash
I am very angry about all the negative comments at the end of the article, these are all good kids and my heart goes out to all of them for the physical and emotional injuries they have incurred. I heard that someone actually came up to them at the accident scene to berate them. How sad that they had to deal with this! This was an accident, not brought on by any misdeeds on their part. Their families need our support not anything else. Sherry is recovering very well, but had surgery to remove a portion of her fractured skull and replace it with a metal plate, and a fractured pelvis. My mother-in-law had brain surgery this summer so I know that the healing process will be slow and long, but she is a very strong and dare I say stubborn young lady so I know that she will be Ok. My prayers go out to all the families involved. Perhaps more prayers should go out to the people who have nothing but angry words, I hope someday their view of how special children of any age are and how heartbreaking it is that they should have to go through such trauma is will change and that they will be considerate enough to remember the human beings involved in these news stories. Sherry, Amanda, Dylan and Pat - you are in my thoughts and prayers!
